DRD Repack Chart
Instructions

Step 1.  Remove “torx” screws from the forward end of exhaust canister and then lightly run a razor blade along the seam where the inlet cap and canister meet to cut through the silicone sealant.

Step 2.  Use rubber mallet to knock the canister loose from inlet cap and perforated core. Be sure to only hit the aluminum mount on the canister.

Note: Some canisters may be difficult to remove. If you experience difficulty, spray lubricant, such as WD-40, and let sit for 5 minutes.

Step 3. Once the canister has been removed, remove old packing and clean the perforated core if necessary. This is also a good time to clean and inspect the spark arrestor screen if you are using one. Make sure all contact points of the canister, inlet cap and perforated core are free of debris.

Step 4.  Install new silencer packing on to perforated core. If you are using Dubach Racing’s “D-shape” one piece re-pack kit, simply slide packing on to perforated core and then remove cardboard core. Once the packing is in place, slide the canister back on, making sure that the end of the perforated core lines up with the end cap and the inlet cap engages with the canister. Use a small screw driver or a razor knife to move any packing out of the way so that the inlet cap can easily engage the canister.

Step 5.  Re-install “torx” screws using blue thread lock.  Next, apply high temperature silicone sealer (clear looks the cleanest) where the inlet cap and canister meet in order to re-seal the seam where these two pieces come together. Allow silicone sealer to dry according to the manufacturers recommended time before using exhaust.

NoteDubach Racing recommends repacking the silencer about every 20 hours depending on your riding level. We highly recommend using the DR.D “D-shape” re-pack kit because it is not only very easy to install, but we have also found that it is the longer lasting repacking available.
